Domaine de Couron
Nestled in the tiny village of Saint Marcel d'Ardeche is this family run estate, under the
stewardship of Jean-Luc and Marie-Lise Dorthe. Without a doubt these are the two in which I
would prefer to be stranded on a desert island (along with a mixed case of various vintages
of Cuvee Marie DuBois ). Wine was once cultivated here by the Romans, and the estate
has an long history of viticulture (history).

Olivier Dumaine
The Dumaine family has resided at Larnage since 1650. Olivier and Maryline Dumaine
(and hazelnut the horse) work 4,5 ha of Syrah and 2 ha of mostly Marsanne.Vine age and
yields are naturally low, resulting in beautifully dense, yet balanced wines. Here is a link to
