Comte de Lauze

Châteaunuef du Pape rouge

Grenache (60%) Syrah (40%)

“Fruity and floral, the forward, full-bodied 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape comes from the Cabrières lieu-dit and is a blend of  80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. There’s a touch of astringency on the fine grained finish but nothing that should stop consumers from knocking this back in its first ten years of life.”

Châteaunuef du Pape blanc
Grenache blanc (40%) Roussanee (35%) Clairette (10%) Bourboulenc (10%)

The nose is aromatic and offers freshness and a fine concentration. It reveals notes of ripe lemon, Granny Smith apple and crushed mirabelle combined with slight notes of quince, pear, flowers, racy minerality as well as subtle touches of oak and almond. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice mineral frame, a fine acidity, a good volume, a good structure, gourmandise, a fine fat as well as a fine tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of ripe Williams pear, apple and quince combined with subtle touches of tangerine zest as well as hints of honey, butter, racy minerality and discreet woody touches.”
