Comte de Lauze

Châteaunuef du Pape rouge

Grenache (80%) Syrah (20%)

“This is a breakout vintage for Comte de Lauze because the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape looked impressive in this year’s blind tasting. Peppery and floral up front, it reveals layers of supple raspberry, apricot and chocolate on the full-bodied palate, backed with rich tannings and a chewy finish. It should come into it’s prime drinking window within a couple of years, and stay there for a decade and a half.”

Châteaunuef du Pape blanc
Grenache blanc (40%) Roussanee (35%) Clairette (10%) Bourboulenc (10%)

“The 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc (45% Grenache Blanc, 35% Roussanne and 10% each Clairette and Bourboulenc) is a classic Southern Rhône white that offers lots of minerality, crushed citrus and salted apples in a medium-bodied, refreshing style.
